About a Live Act Duo from Israel

They are truly a great duo, bringing an insane energy to the dancefloors across the world. Infected Mushroom, teamed up by Erez Eizen and Amit Duvdevani from Israel.

In the late 90s, while other bands in Israel were still producing analog sounds, the two guys Erez and Amit were experimenting with various computer sounds, synths and drum machines. Their sound was clearly attributable to psychedelic trance music. They then reached their breakthrough in the USA with their album "Legend of the Black Shawarma" in 2009, which earned them a top 10 ranking within the dance album charts. Consequently, they then started a three-year tour. However, first back to the beginning:

In 1999, the duo released its debut album "The Gathering". In 2000, then the album "Classical Mushroom" followed and other moderately successful albums. In 2007, the band then composed the soundtrack for the new version 6 of the instant messaging service ICQ. Then the album "Legend of the Black Shawarma" was released, in which Infected Mushroom put their skills to the test. The album was permeated by electronic, experimental sounds, which nevertheless was always oriented to their EDM roots with sharp, trippy and psychedelic influences. In the sequel the band played up to 120 live performances, most of which were sold out. Their trip went from Ultra Festival in Miami over Virgin Festival in Baltimore and Mexico’s OMIX down to Brazil´s Ipanema Beach Festival and many more. In 2011, they played on the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert.

Even among gamers, Infected Mushroom became known. In 2012, the song "Nevermind" from the album "Army of Mushrooms" was set as the intro for the live broadcast of the game "League of Legends".

Today Erez Eizen and Amit Duvdevani live in Los Angeles, where they find better ways to cooperate with other artists outside the Goa scene according to their own statements. In 2016, they already celebrate their 20th anniversary as Infected Mushroom.
